About Us

Occupi Design is led by Meghan Brown, a designer specializing in interior staging, redesign and remodeling. Meghan has worked in the architecture, real estate and interiors industries for over 10 years for companies including Crate & Barrel, U.S. Equities and independent architecture firms in Chicago and Southern Arizona. Meghan is an adjunct professor and has taught at Roosevelt University. She is an Associate member of AIA (American Institute of Architects) and currently serves on the Career Development Advisory Board for Robert Morris University.

Meghan has a Bachelor’s degree in architecture from Cornell University and studied how individuals use and are influenced by space at the University of Chicago for which she received a Master’s degree. Meghan’s focus in design is to bring out the best in any space  - at any budget. She excels at finding the right flow for your space and creating an interior that works with the way you live, not against you. Rather than forcing a specific design style, Meghan works with your interests to find a solution custom fit for you.

In addition to design, Meghan is passionate about children’s education and exposure to the arts. She has led several public art projects with Chicago area youth through the community arts group Architreasures and recently taught in the Chicago Park District and Chicago Public Schools for The Joffrey Ballet. Meghan currently serves on the Junior Board for Architreasures.

In her free time, Meghan can often be found at a dance class, a basketball game, enjoying the outdoors or some of the delicious food Chicago-land has to offer. She believes having a well rounded life is essential to being a good designer.
